Vietnam free open source software has a history of over 10 years of development

 

NukeViet content management system (CMS) is based on NukeViet open source software platform – an open source software of new generation which was developed by Vietnamese people. NukeViet CMS allows you to build and manage websites easily. 

 

NukeViet was launched in 2004. In 2010, VINADES company was founded to professionalize and support officially for this software. In this time, NukeViet launched  3.0 version in which core design and control interface was built completely new. NukeViet 3.0 used the modern libraries, applyingthe latest manage technology and technology standards for the website, whichimpressed users quickly.

 

In 2011, NukeViet won Vietnamese Talent Award NukeViet is also recommended for using as described in circular No. 08/2009/TT-BGDDT by Ministry of Education and Training. And most recently, it was procured and prioritized for using in Stateagencies and organizations as prescribed in  circular 20/2014/TT-BTTTT by the Ministry of Information and Communications Regulations.

 

After many years of application in building websites and portals of education, NukeViet has been highly appreciated by IT Department – MOET.  MOET has put NukeViet inGuidance for implementation of IT tasks in 2015 – 2016 school year to  being implementedcomprehensively and replace closed source software systems. 

 

While using open source software to master the technology quickly with a low cost has become irresistible trend in the world,  Vietnam has been still struggling in se-lecting  open source or illicit softwares. In terms of development, most of the open source software in Vietnam are  not fully developed in accordance with the model of open source software in the world or survive no more than 3 years due to failed business.

 

Up to now, NukeViet is almost the only open source software of Vietnam are maintained and developed in accordance with standards and FOSS development models in the world with the scale and the large number of users. There are 10,000 websites using NukeViet with more than 10 different languages in nearly 20 countries.

At the end 2015, NukeViet continues to receive good news when it ranked "Top 10 Open Source Content Management System"in the world's leading by Discussdesk although NukeViet currently only is mainly provided for the Vietnamese

 

Continue launching the new version to improve the user experience.  

 

In order to enhance the user experience, NukeViet has continuously innovated in applying the latest technology standards for design and programming. VINADES company has developed the new NukeViet line version called NukeViet 4.0

 

During the 2 years of testing and three years of developing, NukeViet 4.0 has had a lot of changes and achieved dramatic improvement in terms of enhancing user experience. NukeViet 4.0 has comprehensivelysupported for IPv6 and both mobile interaction models for customization and compatibility with mobile devices whose screen sizes are more and more diverse.
